College Football Playoff National Championship Line Changes

[sc:NCAA-CHMP250 ]The line for Alabama vs. Clemson hasn’t changed much since we last released an update. In the previous edition of this piece, we noted that the line then had either Alabama as a seven-point or 6.5-point underdog.

If there’s one notable movement at the betting line, though, it’s that the Over/Under in most books have moved from around 53.5 down to as low as 50.5.

Per Covers.com’s Joe Fortenbaugh’s interview with Jeff Sherman, assistant manager of the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, the sharp money was on the Under, thus prompting the sizeable shift.

There’s also a big difference between the public and the sharps, as the former is big on Alabama -6.5, while the latter group favors Clemson +7.5. Sherman himself said that he’s favoring Clemson so long as its underdog by seven or more points.

Here at TopBet, the line is remains -7 for Alabama with the total at 50.5.
