Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (-7)

Regular Season Record: 0-1

The Bengals suffered a 23-20 overtime loss at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in Week 1 mostly because some of the issues they tried to address in the offseason continued to slow them down. Joe Burrow threw four interceptions and got sacked seven times for a loss of 39 yards despite a retooled offensive line. Burrow passed for 338 yards and two touchdowns but needed 53 passes to get those numbers. Nevertheless, Cincy is a team stacked with scary offensive weapons which probably just need a wake-up call to get going. The Bengals’ defense also gets a plus with Dak Prescott ruled out for Week 2.

The Under is Under is 6-0 in the Bengals’ last six games.

Bet on the Bengals

Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (+7)

Regular Season Record: 0-1

The biggest story for the Cowboys is that they will not have Dak Prescott for several weeks after he underwent surgery to repair a fractured thumb in Week 1’s 19-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. That means their passing attack will mostly be at the mercy of what backup quarterback Cooper Rush could do under center. But the Cowboys might also just go run-heavy to keep their offense afloat while Prescott is out. Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard had quiet games on the ground in Week 1 but that should change going forward. Given how bad the Bengals’ pass protection was in Week 1, Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons might feast anew on Sunday after getting two sacks versus the Buccaneers.

The Cowboys are 5-0 against the spread versus a team with a losing record.
