They are just 1-6 ATS in their last seven as a dog of 10 points or more. Meanwhile, the Chargers have far exceeded expectations, with a 6-4-0 record against the spread this season. It’s been awhile since the Chargers were favored by this much (three season to be exact!). It is also worth noting that the Chargers have covered in just eight of their last 21 games as a favorite of 10 points or more.

The Cleveland Browns are the laughing stock of the NFL, and nothing has been shown that makes anything think that anything is going to change. They come into this game looking for their first win, and in most of their losses this year they really haven’t even been competitive.
There is one big storyline to watch in this game for the Browns and that is the return of Josh Gordon. They have already said that he will be active for this game, but how much of a factor he will be in this game is still something that will have to play out.
To win this game it’s probably going to take a miracle, but it starts on the offensive side of the ball. They can’t turn the ball over, and the offense needs to get going early. They can’t try to come from behind in this game, or it’s going to be another long afternoon for the Browns.
Betting on the Los Angeles Chargers (5-6)
On the other side of this match up is the Los Angeles Chargers who at the beginning of the season looked like they might need to try to go through a full rebuild. But now they are a team that has gotten hot, and are right in the thick of things in terms of a playoff race, especially with a favorable schedule coming up, starting with this game with the Browns.
In their last game it was their big coming out moment on Thanksgiving. They took on the Dallas Cowboys, and the offense and defense were both spectacular. The defense shut down Dak Prescott all night, and held the offense to only six points. Phillip Rivers has played really well this year, and doesn’t look like a guy who is getting up there in age. He comes into this game having thrown for 2948 yards, 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
To win this game the Chargers just need to play their game. They are the better team by a long shot, and they just can’t overlook this game. If they want to make the playoffs, they can’t have a big slip up in this game, or their playoff hopes will be all but gone.

There is no question the Los Angeles Chargers are the better team in this match up, and they will be flexing their muscles in this game. I think Philip Rivers is going to have a huge game, and that will lead to a victory, and a cover of the spread by a good margin Pick: Los Angeles (+13.5)
