Croatia can secure their spot in the knockout stage with a second straight victory Friday afternoon. The Croatians beat Turkey 1-0 to go tied with Spain atop Group D. Meanwhile, the Czech Republic could keep their tournament hopes alive as long as they avoid a loss in this upcoming match. The Czech Republic lost their first match to Spain by just one goal from Gerard Pique in the 87th minute of the match. It was a waste of a fine defensive effort, in which the Czechs defended 17 shots, four of which were on target.
Narodak may face some problems when they take on Croatia. Midfielder Boreck Dockal is doubtful for this match, but could still find his way onto the pitch. Meanwhile, defender David Limbersky is one card away from suspension. Croatia should be able to dominate this matchup with their talented midfield. They’ll be very confident to do so after seeing Spain dominate so much against the Czech Republic.
