Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (odds)
Regular Season Record: 3-8
The Cowboys suffered their fifth loss in six games after falling prey to the Washington Football Team on Thanksgiving Day, 41-16. The Cowboys’ porous defense mostly spelled doom for Dallas, as they got gutted via air and ground by Ron Rivera’s men. Things got worse for Dallas as star offensive lineman Zack Martin got injured in that game and will be out for up to multiple weeks. But while the Cowboys own a horrible win-loss record, they can’t just take their foot off the pedal just yet, as they still have a chance of winning the dumpster on fire that is the NFC East division, so there should no question about their interest in winning at least Week 13’s showdown against the Ravens. Zeke Elliott could have a nice day against the Ravens, as Baltimore’s defense has allowed at least 112 rushing yards in three of their last four games.
The Cowboys are 2-1 against the spread in their last three games overall.
Betting on the Baltimore Ravens (odds)
Regular Season Record: 6-4
What a strange week that was for the Ravens, who had to play a twice-postponed game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road. When the game finally pushed through, the Ravens ended up suffering a 19-14 loss, though that wasn’t a surprise as they were double-digit underdogs heading into that game. That’s mostly due to the number of key players who couldn’t play for Baltimore, including star quarterback Lamar Jackson. The former NFL MVP sat the game out, as he recently tested positive for COVID-19. It remains uncertain whether he’ll play in Week 13, and it also appears that backup QB Robert Griffin III is in danger of missing the Cowboys game, as he sustained a hamstring injury in the loss to the Steelers. If both Jackson and Griffin will be sidelined, Trace McSorely will be called upon to start for the Ravens, who are averaging 25.6 points per game. The Ravens could also have running backs JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram back, who were eligible to play in Week 12, but might not be 100 percent healthy at the time.
The under is 4-2 in the Ravens’ last six games at home.
Writer’s Prediction
The Ravens win, 27-23.
