Line: Houston Texans (+17.0) vs Dallas Cowboys (-17.0) – view all 2022 NFL lines

TV Broadcast: FOX

Betting on the Houston Texans (+17.0)

Regular Season Record: 1-10-1

Regardless of who starts under center for the Texans, it doesn’t look like it’s going to make a big difference for the team. Both Davis Mills and Kyle Allen don’t seem to be game-changers. The best bet for that title on offense could be rookie running back Dameon Pierce, who rushed for 73 yards on 18 carries in Houston’s 27-14 home loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 13. Pierce is not an elite running back in the NFL – yet – but he’s someone Houston needs to further utilize, especially early. It’s really hard to make a case for the Texans against Dallas, but just remember that it was not that long ago when Houston made it harder than expected for the Philadelphia Eagles to beat it.

The Under is 4-0 in the Texans’ last four games overall.

Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (-17.0)

Regular Season Record: 9-3

The Cowboys blew out the Indianapolis Colts in Week 13, 54-19. That’s the third win in a row for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys, who exploded for 33 points in the fourth quarter of that contest versus the Colts. Dallas’ offense just looks so dangerous right now, and there’s a possibility that by next week, they’d have a new weapon in Odell Beckham Jr. That would be overkill against Houston, as Dallas doesn’t seem to need any more weapons to dominate Houston’s stop unit that is bottom-five in the NFL in total defense with over 378.3 total yards allowed per game.

The Cowboys are 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games in December.
