Regular Season Record: 4-7
It wasn’t Jeff Saturday’s day last Monday, as his Colts fell prey to the Pittsburgh Steelers at home, 24-17, for Indianapolis’ second loss in a row. Despite the defeat, Indianapolis can feel look competitive versus Dallas. In Saturday’s second game as head coach of the team, the Colts lost by just a point to the Philadelphia Eagles, arguably the best team in the entire NFL. Matt Ryan has seemingly found a new weapon downfield in the form of tight end Jelani Woods, who came away with 98 receiving yards on eight catches versus Pittsburgh. He could build off that performance when he faces off with the Cowboys, who just gave up nearly 230 receiving yards in Week 12.
The Colts are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games after a loss.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (-11.0)
Regular Season Record: 8-3
The Cowboys are building another huge momentum. After crushing the Minnesota Vikings on the road, 40-3 in Week 11, Dallas took down the New York Giants at home in Week 12, 28-20. Dallas’ offense has been flying high of late, as evidenced by the points they have put up in its last two games. Dak Prescott passed for 261 yards and two touchdowns on 21/30 completions against the Giants. While he also had two interceptions, there’s not much to be scared about Indianapolis’ pass defense which is just 29th in the league in interception rate. Defensively, the Cowboys can go for bonus possessions versus the turnover-prone Colts, who are second-worst in the NFL with 1.8 turnovers per outing.
The Cowboys are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 games versus a team with a losing record
Writer’s Prediction
The Cowboys win, 33-14.
