FAVORITES
Chase Elliott (+250)
Still searching for this first win of the season, Elliott will look to build on his sixth-place performance last week at the 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. Elliott also won the last time he started at the Circuit of the Americas, as he took the checkered flag at the 2021 Jockey Made in America 250 Presented by Kwik Trip.
Kyle Larson (+300)
Larson has been a disappointment in his last two starts, He was 34th in Phoenix and only 30th in Atlanta. That being said, it’s too early to push the panic button on the Hendricks Motorsports driver. After all, he’s already got a win this season when he topped the field at the 2022 Wise Power 400. Plus, Larson has cracked the top three in five of his last six road course starts, including three victories.
Martin Truex Jr. (+900)
Truex has two top 10s this season but a win remains elusive for the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. In his last start, Truex finished eighth at the Atlanta Motor Speedway during the 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. Truex has four wins in 39 career starts in road course races.
SLEEPERS
Brad Keselowski (+8000)
Keselowski isn’t usually considered a sleeper, but since he is 0 of 31 in road course races in his career, he qualifies for this one. Still, he’s got seven top 5s and 10 top 10s in 31 career starts on a road course.
Austin Dillon (+10000)
Dillon earned a measly total of two points by placing 35th in last Sunday’s 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. However, it was not that long ago when he finished runner-up at the 2022 Wise Power 400 and 11th in the following race, the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube. He was also a decent 15th in his last road course start (2021 Bank of America ROVAL 400).
LONG SHOT
Corey Lajoie (+50000)
Lajoie made some noise last Sunday by finishing fifth at the 2022 Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 – his first top 10 of the season. He was 2oth in the 2021 edition of EchoPark Texas Grand Prix.
Writer’s Prediction
Martin Truex Jr. wins the 2022 EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix.
