Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – March 15 2020

Last year, Brad Keselowski reigned supreme at the 2019 The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 (formerly known as the Advocare 500). It’s not easy to win the same race in consecutive fashion, considering the level of talent on the field, but can Keselowski win it again? Or will Joey Logano pocket a third victory early in the season after another success at last Sunday’s FanShield 500? Or, will it be someone else entirely? Let’s find out.

FAVORITES

Joey Logano (6/1 Vegas Odds)

Logano has raced at the Atlanta Speedway a total of 13 times in the past but has zero wins there thus far. That being said, Logano is among those drivers that will almost always give you a quality race regardless of the track or location. Of those 13 races, Logano has finished inside the top five twice and inside the top 10 four times. He finished sixth there in two of his last three starts there. His best finish in Hampton to date was in 2013 when he finished runner up at The Advocare 500.

Kyle Busch (7/2 Vegas Odds)

The winner of that aforementioned The Advocare 500 race seven years ago? Kyle Busch. The winner of the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series has won two times in his career at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and has finished inside the top 10 in eight of 21 career appearances at the track. Busch finished sixth in last year’s edition of The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 and seventh at the 2018 version of that race. Busch also has a career average finish of 14.43 in Hampton.

SLEEPERS

Ricky Stenhouse (30/1 Vegas Odds)

It’s easy to sleep on Stenhouse, who’s never finished better than 10th at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in seven career starts there, but that’s also why he can be considered a sleeper. Stenhouse has recently had a strong third-place finish in Las Vegas last month.

Daniel Suarez (50/1 Vegas Odds)

Suarez doesn’t have an extensive experience racing at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, as he’s only had three starts there. However, he’s been better in each succeeding appearance in Hampton. After a 21st-place finish there in 2017, Suarez went 15th in 2018 then 10th in his most recent race there (2019 The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500).

LONG SHOT

Aric Almirola (100/1 Vegas Odds)

Almirola has nine starts at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, and while he’s yet to get a win there, it’s worth noting that he finished eighth in his last appearance there, which was at 2019 The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

Writer’s Prediction

Kyle Busch wins the 2020 The Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.
