Kevin Durant continues to lead Golden State in the absence of Stephen Curry (knee), as he scored 26 points and pulled down nine rebounds in Game 3 on Thursday. Klay Thompson, meanwhile, chipped in 19 markers. Golden State is not having any trouble shooting the ball in this series. The Warriors shot 51.2 percent from the floor on Thursday, and is currently second in the playoffs with a 52.7 field goal shooting percentage. Durant remains a perplexing figure to defend for the Spurs, as the former league MVP has averaged 27.3 pints on 52.8 percent shooting in the series. Klay Thompson is making 25.7 points so far in the first round with an insane 63.3 field goal shooting percent. Golden State is 3-0 ATS in this series.

The Spurs played with heavy hearts Thursday, as they continue to deal with the news of te death of head coach Gregg Popovich’s wife. Their play on the court was lethargic, too, as they knocked down 42.5 percent of their shots from the floor. LaMarcus Aldridge looked fatigue in Game 3, as after scoring 34 points in Game 2, he only had 18 in 37 minutes on Thursday. San Antonio’s backcourt needs to produce to help Aldridge carry the load on offense, Dejounte Murray and Danny Green combined for just 18 points on Game 3, while Tony Parker came off the bench and fired 16. Hopefully for the Spurs, Parker can have a performance like that again this Sunday, which may or may not be his and Manu Ginobili’s last game in the NBA. The Spurs are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.
