Aaron Rodgers and the 3-2-1 Green Bay Packers are fresh of a long rest and in their first game in two weeks, they will have the favorites to win Super Bowl 53 on their plate. That’s the unbeaten 7-0 Los Angeles Rams, who are +280 to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Packers, meanwhile, are +2,000 to be the last team standing in the NFL this season.

Betting on the Green Bay Packers (3-2-1)
It’s only befitting for the Packers to have an extra week of rest, as they are about to face what could be their toughest test of the season. Coming off a bye win Week 7, the well-rested Packers are gearing up to face the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams on the road this coming Sunday. In their last game, the Packers relied once again to the heroics and miracle powers of Aaron Rodgers, who passed for 425 passing yard and two touchdowns with no interceptions on 25-of-46 completions. Rodgers has passed for at least 425 yards in each of the Packers’ last two games with a total of five touchdowns with zero picks over that span. The Rams will definitely make it hard for Rodgers to extend his 400-yard streak, but they will also not find it easy containing the future Hall of Famer, especially if he gets two of his weapons back in the form of Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison, who missed games due to hamstring issues. Both are on track to play this Sunday.
The over is 7-0 in Green Bay’s last seven road games, and the Packers are both 0-2 straight up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) when playing away from home so far this season.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (7-0)
The Rams continued their march to an undefeated season with a dominant 39-10 road win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. It was easy work for the Rams in that game, as the Niners didn’t put up much of a fight, but saying so would be to ignore the impressive play of the Rams, particularly of their defense. The Rams sacked C.J. Beathard a total of seven times, with monster defensive tackle Aaron Donald accounting for four of those quarterback takedowns. Donald is arguably the most important player this Sunday for the Rams, as he’s ability to bully offensive lineman and intrude opposing quarterbacks’ pockets will be key in crippling the Packers’ offense. The Rams are allowing just 18.3 points and 327.4 total yards per game, fourth and seventh best, respectively, in the NFL so far this season.
The Rams are 3-0 SU and 2-0-1 ATS in their last three home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Rams extend their winning streak with a 31-27 win over the Packers.
