Betting on the New York Giants (+9.5)
Regular Season Record: 3-1
The Giants have a 3-1 record against the spread so far this season to match their straight-up record, thus far. Running back Saquon Barkley did plenty of the heavy lifting for New York in the Bears games, as he rushed 31 times for 146 yards. He was basically all the Giants had in that contest, with Daniel Jones going just 8/13 for 71 passing yards. The Giants will have to diversify it more on offense against Green Bay, though, Barkley can still be able to have his way. The Packers just allowed 167 rushing yards in Week 5.
The Giants are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven October games.
Betting on the Green Bay Packers (-9.5)
Regular Season Record: 3-1
Even though he was not at his best, Rodgers was still able to lead the Packers to a win at home over the Patriots. Rodgers completed just 21 of 35 passes for two touchdowns and had an interception. But like the Giants on Sunday, the Packers were able to coax fantastic production from their rushing attack, with Aaron Jones burning rubber for 110 yards on 16 carries. Rookie wideout Romeo Doubs is also starting to heat up, as he now has back-to-back games with a touchdown. Defensively, the Packers sent a strong message to the Giants’ offensive line after recording four defensive sacks in the win versus New England.
Writer’s Prediction
The Packers win, 27-19.
