Aaron Rodgers is no longer at his prime, but he just won the NFL MVP a season ago, so he should just be fine. Rodgers went just 26/41 for 246 passing yards and a touchdown without an interception in the loss to the Jets, who’s got a pretty good secondary. Rodgers can bounce back easily and dominate the Commanders’ stop unit which is only 27th in the league in defensive interception rate and 18th with 221.5 passing yards allowed per game. Moreover, the tandem of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon can find success against Washington’s equally porous run defense.
The Under is 6-4 in the Packers’ last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Washington Commanders (+5.0)
Regular Season Record: 2-4
Washington’s spirits must be buoyed up by the fact that the Jets just defeated the Packers. Moreover, the Commanders will have fresher legs than Green Bay in Week 7, considering that they played on a Thursday in Week 6. Carson Wentz is hard to trust at the moment, but Washington’s ground attack offers much more hope with Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson both capable of going off. Robinson had 60 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Bears and will be dealing next with a Packers’ defense that surrendered 116 rushing yards to another rookie in Breece Hall.
The Commanders are 2-2 against the spread in their last four home games.
