Betting on the New York Knicks (+4.5)
Regular Season Record: 47-35
The Knicks need to solve Miami sooner than later. New York should not be having this hard of a time dealing with the Heat since the Knicks have a healthier bunch of players, but Miami is simply just too tough to crack at the moment, Nevertheless, Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle will look to be better, especially on offense, in Game 4 after they collectively shot just 11/35 from the field in Game 3. Immanuel Quickley is reportedly doubtful for Game 4, so that could potentially mean even more minutes of Brunson. Over their last 10 games, the Knicks have averaged 103.7 points, 46.3 rebounds, 19.7 assists, 7.7 steals, and 4.2 blocks while shooting making 43.4 percent of their shot attempts from the field.
The Knicks are 6-2-2 against the spread in their last 10 games after a loss of 10+ points.
Betting on the Miami Heat (-4.5)
Regular Season Record: 44-38
The Heat are wounded, with Tyler Herro still out, and with Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin labeled questionable for Game 4 as of this writing, but they have always found an extra geat to lift the team. Herro is still not available to play, but Butler and Martin are likely to see action despite their current injury designations. In Game 3, Butler 28 points for the Heat, who are fourth among teams in the playoffs with 117.1 points per 100 possessions. Over their last 10 games, the Heat have averaged 116.9 points, 42.7 rebounds, 24.9 assists, 7.3 steals, and 3.6 blocks while shooting 48.3 percent from the floor.
The Heat are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games versus a team that allowed at least 100 points in a prior outing.
Writer’s Prediction
The Heat win, 111-108.
