Betting on the Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5)
Regular Season Record: 7-2
The Chiefs might not have JuJu Smith-Schuster on the field in Week 11 after the wide receiver suffered a concussion against the Jaguars. Kansas City, however, should still be fine on offense because Patrick Mahomes always finds ways, plus the Chiefs have other talented receivers who can step up. Take for example Kadarius Toney, who had 57 receiving yards and a touchdown on four catches and five targets in the win over Jacksonville. Mahomes passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns and without an interception on 24/35 completions back in Week 2 versus the Chiefs.
The Chiefs are 15-6-1 against the spread in their last 22 road games versus a team with a winning record at home.
Betting on the Los Angeles Chargers (+6.5)
Regular Season Record: 5-4
There is a possibility that both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams will return finally to action in Week 11 after missing games due to their respective injuries. That’s not good to hear for the Chiefs, who had trouble containing Williams in the first meeting. Williams had 113 receiving yards and a touchdown on eight catches in that game, while Allen missed that contest with a hamstring issue. Justin Herbert threw for 334 yad and three touchdowns against just an interception on 33/48 completions in the first meeting with Kansas City.
The Chargers, who are averaging 22.2 points per game, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games after a loss.
Writer’s Prediction
The Chiefs win, 30-27.
