Betting on the Kentucky Wildcats (17-5)

Kevin Knox and Hamidou Diallo form a scary backcourt combo for Kentucky, and the two will look to lead the Wildcats to a victory on the road versus Mizzou. Knox is top scoring for the Wildcats, making 15.5 points per game. It was not long ago when he dropped 34 points on No. 7 West Virginia during an 83-76 road win on Jan. 27. Diallo, meanwhile, is giving the Wildcats an average of 12.7 points per game. As a team, Kentucky is putting up 77.3 points on an impressive 47.7 percent shooting from the field. The Wildcats are not big on three-pointers with only 5.0 three-point makes per game, but they have three players with at least 20 triples this season as of this writing with Knox leading the way with 34 threes. Kentucky is 8-0 SU in their last eight meetings with Missouri.

Betting on the Missouri Tigers (13-8)

Missouri has a very dangerous scorer in Kassius Roberson, who could light up the score sheets on any given night. The senior guard is racking up 15.7 points per game, though on an inefficient 41.7 percent shooting percentage. Still, the Tigers ask a lot from Roberson, who will have to find a way to carry the team once again. Unlike Kentucky, the Tigers are largely dependent on their outside shooting. They are 42nd in the nation with 9.3 three-pointers per game on 38.6 percent accuracy from deep. Roberson leads the team with 61 triples, while Jordan Barnett (14.3 PPG) has drained 51 treys in his first 21 games of the season. Missouri’s defense is better than its offense, as the Tigers limit opponents to only 67.5 points per contest.

Missouri is 8-2 SU in its last 10 home games.

Writer’s Prediction:

Kentucky wins, 79-72.
