Betting on the Los Angeles Dodgers (-1.5)

Regular Season Record: 45-26

The Dodgers have yet to lose when Tyler Anderson is on the mound, and they will be looking to keep it that way as the southpaw makes his 12th start on Monday. Anderson enters this matchup against the Rockies with an 8-0 record to go with a 3.00 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. He was roughed up in his last start, giving up 3 earned runs on 4 hots in just 5.0 innings against the Cincinnati Reds on the road, but the Dodgers’ hitters got his back in an 8-4 victory. Anderson is 3-0 with a 3.03 ERA in 7 total road appearances this season. Behind him will be the Dodgers’ active hitters who have a collective batting average of .287 against Chad Kuhl.

Betting on the Colorado Rockies (+1.5)

Regular Season Record: 53-20

It’s a different story for the Rockies and Kuhl. They are 0-3 in Kuhl’s last four appearances. In his past four starts, Kuhl has gone winless with a 4.87 ERA. The last time he was on the mound, Kuhl allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits in a 7-4 road loss to the Miami Marlins. He will be hoping for the bats of the likes of Charlie Blackmon and abd Randal Grichuk to come alive at Coors Field this Monday. Blackmon is slashing .270/.338/.467 in home games this season, while CJ Cron is even better with .358/.401/.696 and 13 home runs. The current Rockies hitters have a career batting average of .387 against Anderson.

Writer’s Prediction

The Dodgers win, 6-4.
