Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (+15.5)
Regular Season Record: 4-7
The season just got a little more brutal for the Rams, as they won’t have star wide receiver Cooper Kupp for multiple weeks due to injury. Losing Kupp for weeks is a blow to the stomach of Los Angeles, though, it’s not the end of the world for the Rams. That said, Kupp’s absence adds to the pressure on the team’s ground attack which usually doesn’t have a heavy workload, especially since Matthew Stafford has also been ruled out. That also means John Wolford will be starting for the Rams, who are averaging just 16.9 points per game this season. Los Angeles rushed for 148 yards in its 27-20 road loss to the New Orleans Saints.
The Under is 4-1 in the Rams’ last five road games.
Betting on the Kansas City Chiefs (-15.5)
Regular Season Record: 6-4
Unlike the Rams, Kansas City is rolling. The Chiefs enter Week 12 carrying a four-game win streak. In their last outing, the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers on the road last Sunday, 30-27. Kansas City is just so hard to beat when Patrick Mahomes is on top of his game, which is always the case. Against the Chargers, Mahomes passed for 329 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 20/34 completions. Kansas City traded Tyreek Hill in the offseason, but Travis Kelce and a bunch of other playmakers have stepped up for the Chiefs, including rookie running back Isiah Pacheco, who had 107 rushing yards on 15 carries. Los Angeles’ defense that hasn’t been impressing could tire out early in this game, considering that the Rams’ offense might not be on the field a lot.
The Chiefs are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games against the Rams.
Writer’s Prediction
The Chiefs win, 27-17.
