The Buffalo Bills are playoff-bound. The Miami Dolphins are not sure if they will join the Bills in the postseason. The Dolphins need to beat the Bills in Week 17 to help their chances of making it past the regular season, so expect Tua Tagovailoa to bring it on Sunday. Although the Dolphins have already moved on to Tua Tagovailoa as their starter, they still showed that Fitzpatrick remains an integral part of the team when they called upon him to “close” the game in their 26-25 win on the road last week over the Las Vegas Raiders. The Dolphins are not going to be shy about letting Fitzpatrick loose on the field again in Week 17 despite Tagovailoa being named the starter for that game. However, it’s Miami’s defense that holds the key in stopping Buffalo. Miami is tops in the NFL in scoring defense with just 18.8 points allowed and first as well in third-down defense, with opponents converting on just 30.68 percent of their third-down chances. Watch out for Mike Gesicki in this game, The tight end had 130 receiving yards and a touchdown on eight catches in the Dolphins’ 31-28 home loss to Buffalo earlier this season.

If you think that the Bills will take Week 17’s game against Miami lightly just because they have assured themselves of a playoff spot by winning the AFC East, then you’re not seeing things right. The Bills are going to take the Miami game seriously. For one, they are still in the running for the No. 2 seed in the AFC, as they currently share an identical record with the Pittsburgh Steelers. With that said, expect Josh Allen to be out there in Week 17. Allen was phenomenal in the Bills’ 38-9 road win over the New England Patriots last Monday. He had 320 passing yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions on 27-of-36 completions and he’ll look to dominate the Dolphins’ defense again. In the first meeting with Miami, Allen exploded for 415 passing yards and four touchdowns on 24-of-35 completions. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who went off in the Patriots game, caught eight passes for 153 yards and a touchdown in that win over the Dolphins.
