Miami Hurricanes vs North Carolina Tar Heels Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – October 28, 2017

The Miami Hurricanes (6-0, 4-0 ACC) remain undefeated and are ranked eighth in the country as of Week 9. The North Carolina Tar Heels (1-7, 0-5) have the worst record in the ACC and are coming off of a debilitating loss (59-7) to Virginia Tech. While with a spread at -20.5 and an amazing season so far, Miami has an important schedule coming up, against Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. Their focus may not be on the North Carolina game, which could see the Tar Heels keeping things much closer than expected. Miami may not cover. Register to bet and turn potential Hurricane overconfidence into a big payday!

Betting on the Miami Hurricanes 6-0 (-20.5)

The Hurricanes go as the star quarterback Malik Rosier does well. We should see the quarterback play well with a really bad defense he is going up against in the Tar Heel D.

The Hurricanes defense has been something else this year. Being basically unstoppable against the run and forcing turnover after turnover and getting extra possessions for their offense.
This should ultimately be a walk through for the Hurricanes as they have been able to go undefeated until this point. With a really bad North Carolina defense and not a capable offense they should be fine.

The Hurricanes defense did a great job containing Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey last week, holding him to only 135 passing yards. They have been outstanding at defending the pass all season, and are only allowing an average of 18.7 points per game. Miami Florida sits atop the ACC Coastal with a 4-0 conference record, and only two of their five remaining games are against ranked teams.

Betting on the North Carolina Tar Heels 1-7 (+20.5)

There hasn’t been a lot of bright spots for the Tar Heels as they have had a miserable season so far. But, they are at home and this should bring a lot of people to the stadium Saturday.

The only bright spot for the Tar Heels has been the Michael Carter who has ran for over 7 touchdowns. He has not been able to run for a ton of yards but he has been key for them in the red zone. If they want to come at the #8 team in the country they are going to have to have a little bit of luck. When I say a little bit of luck I mean that they will need to win the turnover battle by at least 4.

The Tar Heels defense had their worst defensive performance of the season in the 59-7 loss last week, surrendering 35 points in the first half alone. They have struggled to stuff the run for the most part this season. North Carolina is now in dead last in the ACC Coastal with an 0-5 record in conference play, and they could have trouble winning even one game against an ACC opponent.

Writer’s Prediction

This seems like a huge line but honestly North Carolina has not shown anything that would say that they can compete. This should be an absolute bloodbath that Miami will have a lot of fun with . Pick: Miami (-20)
