The Minnesota Vikings have gone winless over the last two weeks, as they failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity to get a win against a struggling Buffalo Bills on Sunday. They won’t have to wait long before they can try again, though, as they will play the still-undefeated Los Angeles Rams in Tinseltown this coming Thursday.

Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (1-1-1)
The Vikings were one of the surest bets in football on Sunday, but the sport’s gods decided it was a good day to burn tons of wagers, as Minnesota fell prey to the Buffalo Bills, 27-6. That the Vikings were not able to slow down Buffalo’s offense that’s among the most anemic in the league and meet their own standards offensively against a previously winless opponent were both mind boggling, but Minnesota, nonetheless, will have a short time to fix what was wrong in the Bills game before facing the Rams on the road. The Vikings are hoping that second-year running back Dalvin Cook will be ready for that contest after missing last Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. Without Cook, Minnesota barely got anything on the ground against the Bills, generating just 14 rushing yards on six carries. Cook, however, said that he’s definitely going to play on Thursday, but he’ll have to practice first before people get 100 percent convinced of his self-assessment.
The Vikings are 6-3-1 SU and 4-6 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (3-0)
The Rams picked up their third win in a row to start the season last Sunday by taking down the Los Angeles Chargers at home, 35-23. Wide receiver Robert Woods was instrumental in the win, as he hauled in 10 of 11 targets for 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rams QB Jared Goff was excellent in the pocket with 354 passing yards and three touchdown tosses against an interception on 29-of-36 completions. Todd Gurley did Todd Gurley things against the Chargers, as he compiled 105 rushing yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. The Bills, minus LeSean McCoy, racked up 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns against Minnesota, so Gurley can be expected to put up another head-turning performance against the Vikings’ middling run defense that is allowing 105.3 rushing yards per contest. As for their own defense, the Rams might play this Thursday without star cornerback Marcus Peters, who suffered a calf injury in the Chargers game.
The Rams are 2-0 ATS in their last two games.
Writer’s Prediction
Minnesota bounces back and wins, 24-21.
