The Georgia Bulldogs’ College Football Playoff dreams are still alive, but they most likely need to make the SEC Championship Game and beat, hopefully, either an undefeated Alabama or LSU, to make it to college football’s version of the Final Four. The Bulldogs can’t think too far ahead, though, as they will have to take care of business in Athens first this coming weekend against the visiting Missouri Tigers.

Betting on the Missouri Tigers (5-3 Overall / 2-2 Conference)
The Tigers are suddenly on a downward spiral. After racking up five wins in a row, Missouri has now lost their last two games, including the one in Lexington last Saturday in which the Tigers took a 29-7 loss at the hands of the Kentucky Wildcats. Prior to that, Missouri got ambushed by the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville, 21-14. The offense is a problem of late for Missouri, having average just 19.7 points over their last three games. On the season, Missouri is putting up 29.1 points per contest. Former Clemson quarterback Kelly Bryant started the Kentucky game and produced 130 passing yards and a touchdown before suffering a hamstring injury that forced him out of the game to be replaced by Taylor Powell, who didn’t do much better. If Bryant can’t give it a go this coming weekend, Powell will have the keys to the Tigers’ passing attack that is averaging 244.4 yards per contest.
The Tigers are 5-5 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 games. The under is also 8-2 over that stretch.
Betting on the Georgia Bulldogs (7-1 Overall / 4-1 Conference)
The Bulldogs are still not over their upset loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks last October, which virtually ended their bid for a College Football Playoff spot. That being said, they have returned to form since then, beating Kentucky, 21-0, and taking down the Florida Gators, 24-17, both at home, in their last two games, respectively. The win over the Gators shows Georgia’s return to its pre-South Carolina loss form. Quarterback Jake Fromm passed for 279 yards and two touchdowns on 20-of-30 completions, while the backfield produced 119 rushing yards on 37 carries. D’Andre Swift can still do better than that, and he should be a player to watch heading into the matchup with Missouri’s defense that just gave up a total of 297 rushing yards to Kentucky last week. Swift is second in the SEC with 104.75 rushing yards per game. As a team, Georgia is averaging 30.4 points and 449.6 total yards per contest.
The Bulldogs are 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
Georgia wins, 40-20.
