Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees (7:05 PM ET)

Boston is just 2-5 over their last seven games, however they have star David Ortiz who was able to homer and drive in three runs for a narrow 5-4 win in their last game.
He will be a valuable asset against the Yankees’ struggling starter Vidal Nuno (1-4, 5.88 ERA). Nuno is 0-3 at home in seven starts and one relief effort surrendering five homers and 13 runs in consecutive losses.

Prediction: Boston get on the bats against Nuno to take a win over the Yankees.
Oakland Athletics vs. Miami Marlins (7:10 PM ET)

Pitcher Jesse Chavez (6-4, 2.71 ERA) has been a solid starter for the A’s recently. He ranks in AL’s top 10 in ERA with just four starts this season. Chavez is 1-1 with 1.43 ERA over his last three starts. However, Chavez will have a tough challenge in front of him as the A’s go against Miami who haven’t lost an interleague match at home since August 4, 2013.
However, one of Miami’s best batters in Giancarlo Stanton, who hit his 21st homer this season, is only 1 for 10 with seven strikeouts in his career against Oakland.
Prediction: Chavez continues his spree of brilliant starts. Oakland takes the game from Miami.
Minnesota Twins vs. Texas Rangers (8:05 PM ET)

The Minnesota Twins cannot catch a break having lost eight consecutive road losses. Although Minnesota has been struggling on the road, Joe Mauer playing well despite the rest of the team’s difficulties. Mauer has hit .414 with nine RBIs in his last seven games. However, Mauer may hit a road block against Rangers starter Nick Nepesch (2-3, 4.38 ERA). who he’s gone 0-for-6 against. Nepesch, on the other hand, is having struggles of his own going 0-3 with a 5.79 ERA in his last four starts, while his team the Texas Rangers have gone 0-8 in their last eight games overall.
Prediction: Expect Minnesota to hand the Rangers their ninth-straight loss.
Los Angeles Angels vs. Kansas City Chiefs (8:10 PM ET)

The L.A. Angels are hot heading into this game on the heels of a six-game win streak. They’ll have a prime chance to extend their streak with the stellar rookie starter Matt Schoemaker (5-1, 3.42 ERA). Schoemaker is 5-0 with a 3.00 ERA in his last seven starts. The Angels will be playing the Kansas City Royals, who have lost six of their last seven games. However, an intriguing pitching matchup will ensue as Royals starter Jason Vargas (7-3, 3.16 ERA) is on a 3-1 run in his last four starts.
Prediction: Both pitchers will limit the opposing team’s offense. However, the Angels have proved to be the better scorer in the American League, and will take a win over the Royals.
Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants (10:15 PM ET)

The Cincinnati Reds came close to shutting out the San Francisco Giants in the first game of their four-game series. Brandon Philipps was exceptional with three hits, with a homer and a double to score twice in the Reds’ 3-1 win over San Francisco. On the other hand, San Francisco will start Madison Bumgarner (9-4, 2.63 ERA) for the next game. The Giants are 7-3 in the pitcher’s last 10 starts.
Prediction: Cincinnati takes the second game of the series after a closely-contested game.
