A loss for either Green Bay or Philadelphia would endanger both teams’ playoff hopes. The Eagles are looking to keep up in the NFC Wild Card race with a 5-5 record, while the Packers are 4-6 and cannot afford to lose another game. If so, it’ll be the first time in seven years that they won’t be seeing action in the postseason.

Read on below for more about this crucial NFC matchup.

TV Broadcast: ESPN

Writer’s Pick: Philadelphia Eagles (-4)

Game Preview

Green Bay suffered its fourth-consecutive loss in last Sunday’s showdown with the Redskins. And once again, it was the same storyline for the Packers, who continued to struggle defensively despite a relatively efficient effort from the offense, which managed to score three touchdowns. They allowed 515 offensive yards to Washington, marking the most that they’ve given up since 1998. With the defense at an absolutely ugly state right now, Aaron Rodgers and co. have their backs against the wall in this Monday night matchup with Philadelphia.

The Eagles are coming off a tough setback to Seattle in the previous week, but they’re the obvious favorite to win this game at home, where the team has yet to be beaten this season (4-0). Running backs Ryan Mathews (knee) and Darren Sproles (ribs) are doubtful for this game, though. Thus, it forces Philadelphia to heavily lean on the arms of Carson Wentz, who threw a pair of TDs and INTs versus the Seahawks, to light up the stumbling Packers through the air.
