Inoue is ready for Dasmarinas, which you could easily tell from the fact that the Japanese champion is undefeated in 20 career fights in the pro ranks. In his last fight, Inoue knocked out Australia’s Jason Moloney in the seventh round. Inoue was like a perfect storm for Moloney, as the champion’s speed, power, and poise in the ring were simply too much for the challenger. Inoue is looking scary for everyone in the bantamweight division, especially after besting Nonito Donaire back in November 2019 in Saitama, Japan, scoring a unanimous decision against a heralded opponent. Dasmarinas is in for a terrible night if he can’t figure out Inoue early. The Filipino’s best chance to win here is to knock the champion out, but that’s something no fighter has ever done. Try being too aggressive against Inoue and Dasmarinas might catch a powerful straight or hook that could send him to the canvas. Dasmarinas must be aware that Inoue has scored a knockout in 17 of his 20 career wins.

Betting on Michael Dasmarinas (odds)

Total fights: 33

Wins: 30

Wins by KO: 20

Losses: 2

Draws: 1

We mentioned earlier that Dasmarinas’ best chance at upsetting Inoue is by knocking the Japanese out. While it’s not easy to pull off, don’t count out the possibility, as Dasmarinas appears to have the power to do just that. The fighter from La Union, Philippines has 20 wins by way of knockouts, and that includes his win over Artid Bamrungauea back in October 2019 in his home country.  Dasmarinas is a southpaw plus he’s taller by two inches than Inoue. Those are some assets the challenger will have to maximize in this upcoming bout. It should also be noted that this will be the first time that Inoue will square off with someone as big and as powerful as Dasmarinas. Breaking down Inoue’s defense while avoiding the Japanese’s powerful counter-punches pose huge threats to Dasmarinas, but with an elite trainer in Freddie Roach guiding him, the Pinoy fighter believes he’s got the best tactics to shock the world this coming weekend.
