NFL Draft Odds 2018 – Latest Betting Lines for the NFL Draft Released

And just like that, NFL fever is back, not that it ever really leaves (it just cools a little). That’s right, the 2018 NFL Draft is upon us, and with bettors eager to put their bank on some National Football League action, it couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

While the Draft may have a negligible impact on 2018-19 NFL Futures for current Super Bowl LIII favorites, the results will indeed spark some shuffling for the lower and mid-tier teams in need of an offensive or defensive injection, or both.

To fuel the anticipation, the sportsbook has released some pretty telling props as we countdown the minutes to the 2018 NFL Draft. Today, we’re sharing a few key ones with you.

2018 NFL Draft Date: The NFL Draft runs from Thursday April 26 (9 PM EST) through to Saturday April 28. The event is being held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Who Will be Selected Number One Overall in 2018 NFL Draft?

Sam Darnold (-200) of USC fame has a body built for the NFL. He’s got the arm strength, throws with accuracy, boasts pocket mobility, knows how to maintain composure, and has a darn near uncanny ability to read the field.  Darnold has what it takes to start on opening day, and can play for practically any team because the intelligent kid can shine in any system. In addition, he won’t need to depend upon protection like others who still have to grow into a league ready physique. Darnold is definitely the safest option for Cleveland but GM John Dorsey may opt for big-bodied passer Josh Allen (a close second with +120 odds to go first). Dorsey is getting a lot of press in the last minute, so much that it won’t be a surprise if he goes first on April 26. The updated “who goes first?” odds are laid out below:

April 26 8 AM update: The sportsbook just had 4 different bettors within 20 minutes bet Baker Mayfield 3/2 to be first pick. Mayfield has now been moved to -300, while Darold shifted from -200 to +160.

Baker Mayfield (-300)

Sam Darnold (+160)

Josh Allen (+120)

Saquon Barkley (+500)

Josh Rosen (+2000)

Bradley Chubb (+2000)

Minkah Fitzpatrick (+30,000)

Quenton Nelson (+30,000)

Derwin James (+30,000)

Joshua Jackson (+50,000)

Other (+1,000)

Will Lamar Jackson be Selected in the 1st Round of 2018 NFL Draft?

Yes (-1,200) / No (+600)

NFL Network draft analyst Mike Manock is a big fan of the 6’3, 200-lb QB, so much so that he picks Jackson to potentially crack the top ten. Lamar threw for 9,043 yards, 69 touchdowns and 27 interceptions in Louisville, where he also pulled in a Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and Walter Camp Award. He also collected a total of 4,132 yards and 50 touchdowns on the ground. The word on the street, is that the Patriots may be looking at Jackson as a longterm investment as Brady prepares for his inevitable departure.

Who Will Be Selected First in 2018 NFL Draft – Derwin James vs Minkah Fitzpatrick?

Derwin James (-135) / Minkah Fitzpatrick (+105)

Both a priced the same (+30,000) to go first in the Draft, so that doesn’t provide much insight. So what else can you look at here to make your pick? Top-rated safety Derwin James (Florida State Seminoles) refused a private workout invitation with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on April 20, so that may not bode well for those averse to a a perceived bad attitude. Hey, that stuff matters in the new NFL. Mink Fitzpatrick (Alabama Crimson Tide) on the other hand, is well known for his upstanding character, and is one hell of a play maker to boot. This writer picks him to go well ahead (well, one or two spots) ahead of James.

Who Will Be Selected First in the 2018 NFL Draft – Darrius Guice vs Sony Michel?

Darrius Guice (-350) / Sony Michel (+270)
