Bleacher Report’s Steve Silverman felt confident in selecting the Seahawks to take down Tony Romo’s Cowboys. He expects the Seattle defense, which took a little step back last year, to be solid enough to suppress the accurate passing of Romo or Dak Prescott. But Dallas’ running game will likely cause a few problems especially with the team’s first-round draft pick, Ezekiel Elliot, bound to see a lot of playing time in this game.
The match between the Patriots and Panthers is going to be fun to watch, too. Silverman sees the latter winning here, as Cam Newton, if he receives some serious playing time, should be in for a relatively intriguing test in dismantling New England’s defense. And what’s more, he’ll have the luxury of doing so with one of the league’s uprising wide receivers in Kelvin Benjamin, whose big-play capabilities makes Carolina’s offense even scarier, by his side.

For us here at TopBet, we didn’t extensively cover every game for this week but selected one key matchup for each day.
One of which is Friday night’s encounter between the Packers and 49ers. Eddie Lacy will continue to carry most of the load for the former. He was huge in Green Bay’s most recent preseason win against Oakland, rumbling for 45 yards on nine carries with one touchdown. However, it’s unlikely that we’ll get to see starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers in action here again.
Meanwhile, we also see the Rams improving their spotless preseason record to 3-0 via a win over the defending Super Bowl champions, who are hoping that Mark Sanchez can finally give them something to smile about this coming Saturday night.
This year’s No. 1 overall pick in the draft, Jared Goff, delivered his first passing touchdown just last week in their victory versus the Chiefs. Todd Gurley also made a strong impact in that win, rushing for a touchdown in his preseason debut.
