NFL Week 9 Prop Bets and Player Props: 2017-18 Season

NFL Week 9 has arrived and we’ve got the most up to date props on the market.

The week starts with the Bills looking beat the Jets and improve their position in the AFC East. A 6-2 record would look pretty damn good for Buffalo as we enter the back half of the year. Week 9 also has the Broncos staring down the barrel of the worst underdog status the franchise has had since 2011 (Tebow years!), opening as a 7.5-point dog to the Eagles (but currently 7-points). Morbid curiosity also has bettors watching (and looking to capitalize on) one of the big 0-8 losers of the season so far, as the 49ers square off against the 3-4 Arizona Cardinals, who (Arizona) are only favored to win by 2.5-points. The Chiefs (5-2) are looking to bounce back from the recent slide as they face-off against the Cowboys while Russel Wilson (5-2) will experience his first time playing against the Redskins at home in Seattle. It may be a short week but not one short on excitement, especially for bettors!

EXPIRED (from Thursday Nov 2/2017)

Who Will Record a Passing Touchdown First – Tyrod Taylor or Josh McCown?

Taylor (EVEN) / McCown (-130)

Taylor recorded one thrown TD (and one running) on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, but completed 74% of his passes to give the Bills yet another win. Mccowen completed 26-of-33 passes (79%) for 257 yards and two thrown TDs in a loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the Jets’ Week 8 outing. This one could go either way.

Will Tyrod Taylor Record 2 or More Passing Touchdowns?

Yes (+140) / No (-170)

While the man is certainly completing his passes, he averages pretty low when it comes to yards per attempt (6.1 yards last Sunday), using the “dink-and-dunk” conservative passing approach to QB’ing. Tyrod is not one to rack up huge yardage totals through the air (although his ability to take care of the football is second to none at the moment) so against mid-level (and better) defenses he is more likely to get his points on the ground. However, the Bills are squaring off a very beatable defense in their Week 9 game against the Jets. Throwing for two TDs? Very possible.

Will LeSean McCoy Have More than 75 Rushing Yards?

Yes (+120) / No (-150)

McCoy carried 27 times for 151 yards and a TD on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. In addition, he caught six of seven targets for 22 yards in the 34-14 win, setting season highs in both carries and rushing yardage while being credited for almost half of his Bill’s total offensive output. Yeah, he’ll get this one in Week 9.

Will LeSean McCoy Record a Touchdown?

Yes (+150) / No (-180)

McCoy was off to a rough start (worst of his career, including grade school) in the TD category at the start of the season but things turned around after the Bills bye week. The running back is now on a mission and has momentum on his side as we enter Week 9. He’s got this one too.

Will Will Josh McCown Throw 3 or More Touchdown Passes+Interceptions?

Yes (EVEN) / No (-130)

McCown threw a very costly fourth quarter interception two weeks ago as the Jets dropped a game to the Miami Dolphins. Last week, he notched two touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday’s 25-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Three or more TD passes+ interceptions at home this Thursday? Likely.

Will Robby Anderson Record 5 or More Receptions?

Yes (+120) / No (-150)

Robby Anderson had the best game of his blossoming career against the Falcons, catching all six of his targets for a Week 8 total of 104 yards and a TD. He has had three solid games in a row, bringing in 13 of 23 targets for 215 yards and two touchdowns. This is a close one to call. If on the road, maybe not, but with the home crowd at his back and being fresh off a great Sunday performance the man will have sticky fingers and catch whatever is thrown at him.

Will the New York Jets Defense Record an Interception?

Yes (-140) / No (+110)

Taylor will continue to be conservative when it comes to throwing and Jets defense will be Jets defense. Bet accordingly.
