The New Orleans Pelicans are going for a season sweep of the Oklahoma City Thunder this season. You don’t have to tell that to Russell Westbrook, though, to supercharge him for this matchup. Read on for a preview of this matchup below.

Betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder (44-31)
Carmelo Anthony’s performance this season has been up-and-down. Some days he has it, some days he doesn’t have it. The postseason is nearing so now is a good time for Anthony to start showing up on a regular basis and prove that he can still be a consistent performer. One Thunder who has been a picture of consistency at least from a statistical production standpoint is Russell Westbrook, which is also the case when he’s up against New Orleans. In two games against the Pellies this season, Brodie has averaged a triple-double of 19.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 13.0 assists, though he has shot a poor 32.5 percent from the field. Perhaps he needs to give more shots to Steven Adams, who has average 19.0 point and has made 68.2 percent of his shots against New Orleans.
The Thunder are 3-2 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five trips to New Orleans.
Betting on the New Orleans Pelicans (43-32)
Anthony Davis is just beasting in the NBA. With DeMarcus Cousins out with an Achilles injury, the burden on Davis’ shoulders is heavier. He does not seem to be bothered though. As of this writing, Davis is averaging 28.3 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. In two meetings this season against OKC, Davis has averaged 39.5 points and 12.5 rebounds. During the Pellies’ 114-100 road win against the Thunder on Feb. 2, Davis dropped 43 points on Westbrook and company to go with 10 rebounds. New Orleans has been dominating the Thunder inside this season, as Cousins (in the first meeting) and Davis had been unstoppable in the paint. The Pelicans have outscored the Thunder in the paint, 114-84.
New Orleans has also covered the spread in its two wins against the Thunder this season.
Writer’s Prediction:
Oklahoma City wins, 106-103.
