Oklahoma State Cowboys vs Iowa State Cyclones Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – November 11, 2017

Oklahoma State has one of the best offenses in college football this season, and after scoring 52 last weekend their current week to week average is greater than 40-points. On the road this season, the Cowboys are 5-0 straight up and 5-0 against the spread. Iowa State is good but to beat Oklahoma State not only will their defense need to match that Cowboys offense, their own offense will have to  step-up big time. At home this season, the Cyclones are 3-2 straight up and 2-2 against the spread.   While Oklahoma State is favored, it should only be a one score game. Register to bet and wager accordingly.

Betting on the Oklahoma State Cowboys 7-2 (-6.5)

The 15th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the 21st Iowa State Cyclones in a BIG 12 showdown. Oklahoma State lost last week to in state rival Oklahoma and Iowa State lost last week on the road against BIG 12 foe West Virginia, 20-16.

Oklahoma State started the season as they always do. Ranked in the top 10,  Heisman candidate at quarterback, overly outspoken head coach and favorite to be in the College Football Playoff.

Again for the 10th or so season in a row, the Cowboys have disappointed and underachieved. Oklahoma State has lost two games again this season, and most recently lost 62-52 against (big brother) Oklahoma at home.

Mason Rudolph is a good college quarterback, but can’t play on the defensive side of the ball. Head Coach Mike Gundy needs to focus less on his mullet, and more on how he keeps squandering seasons at an underachieving level. Defensively especially.

Betting on the Iowa State Cyclones 6-3 (+6.5)

Iowa State has been one of the best teams in College football the last month. Since losing to Texas in week four, the Cyclones are 4-1 since then, most recently losing at West Virginia last week.

Quarterback Kyle Kempt has been lights out since taking over the starting position in week five. He was a little suspect last week with his accuracy completing 27 of 40 passes for 249 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the loss.

Defensively, the Cyclones have been one of the better teams in the BIG 12 this season. Iowa State is allowing 18.9 points and 367 yards per game this year. The Cyclones will be tested. Oklahoma State is averaging 579 yards per game this year.

The last time both teams faced off against each other, was last season in Stillwater. The Cowboys got the win, 38-31. This season expect the Cyclones to try and pull off the home upset win.

Writer’s Prediction

This game should have CFB playoff implications, but with both teams losing last week, this is just another BIG 12 game. Both teams are bowl eligible this year, so it will be interesting to see who shows up. Oklahoma State is going to have a hard time getting up for this game. Last weeks loss to Oklahoma was huge. The Cowboys are going to have to hit the reset button this week. If not, the Cowboys are going to be in trouble in Ames.

Iowa State is bowl eligible, and looking to make a statement at home. The Cyclones are one of four teams ranked in the top 25 with three losses, and have a chance at beating their third top 15 opponent this season. Take Iowa State at home to cover.. Pick: Iowa State (+6.5)
