TV Broadcast: ESPN

Betting on the Oregon State Beavers (+9)

Record: 16-12 Overall / 10-10 Conference

The Beavers are having their mini-Cinderella moment in the 2021 Pac-12 tournament, as they have racked up three upset victories to reach the championship round. Oregon State defeated the UCLA Bruins in the quarterfinals, 83-79, before beating the top-seed Oregon Ducks in the semis. Up ahead for the Beavers is Colorado, which they have not beaten in two tries in the regular season. That being said, the Beavers are peaking at the right time. They seem to have gotten hot from deep, as they have gone 20 of 44 from behind the arc over their last two games and have hit at least 10 threes in three of their last four games.

Oregon State is 9-1 against the spread in its last 10 games. The over is 5-0 in the Beavers’ last five games.

Betting on the Colorado Buffaloes (-9)

Record: 22-7 Overall / 14-6 Conference

Colorado squeaked by the USC Trojans on Friday, 72-70, to get a spot in the Pac-12 tournament finals. The Buffaloes have been leaning on their defense to pick up important wins, though they struggled to contain Evan Mobley of USC in the semis. The goods news for the Buffaloes is that they are now over the problem of dealing with a unicorn in Mobley, something Oregon State doesn’t have. The Buffaloes finished the regular season second in scoring defense in the Pac-12 with just 64.9 points allowed per game, and in both meetings with Oregon State this season, Colorado did not allow the Beavers to score more than 57 points and shoot better than 45 percent from the floor.

Colorado is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games. The under is 3-1 in the Buffaloes’ last four games overall.

Writer’s Prediction

Colorado wins, 74-62.
