Only one team remains undefeated in the CFL this season and that’s the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Ottawa Redblacks will try (again) to be the first to take down the Blue Bombers when they pay Winnipeg a visit this coming Friday. Will the Blue Bombers edge Ottawa for the second time around this season? Or will the Redblacks avenge their earlier loss to Winnipeg? Going into the Week 6 game, the sportsbook favors the home team by 10-points.

Betting on Ottawa Redblacks (2-2)
The Redblacks are suddenly on a skid. After starting the season like a house on fire with back-to-back wins over the Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Redblacks had a bye in Week 3 from which they emerged like they’re not the same team. Since then, they went 0-2, losing to Winnipeg at home and to the Montreal Alouettes, also at home. It seems like playing on the road could be a cure to what ills Ottawa which we’ll about to see if that’s the case when they take their turn to be the visiting team against Winnipeg. In their 29-14 loss to the Blue Bombers, Ottawa quarterback Dominique Davis went 21 of 36 with zero touchdowns and two interceptions. The Redblacks didn’t get much from their backfield, which produced just 24 rushing yards. They will have to mix it up a little bit this time around in order to prevent themselves by being too predictable. Davis is third in the league with 1,132 total passing yards. Ottawa also needs to minimize its errors, as the Redblacks are second overall with 10 turnovers.
The Redblacks are 16-6 against the spread (ATS) in their last 22 road games.
Betting on Winnipeg Blue Bombers (4-0)
The Blue Bombers are on cruise control. On the strength of a powerful offense, Winnipeg has raced to the top of the West division standings. The team will now look to extend their unbeaten streak to start the season at home against the same team they just took down a few weeks ago. In that game, quarterback Matt Nichols sliced through the Redblacks’ pass defense for 262 passing yards and a touchdown on 16-of-20 completions. He didn’t have to work that much, as Winnipeg’s ground attack was humming and unstoppable, racking up a total of 249 rushing yards. Winnipeg’s offense was too much to handle for Ottawa, with the Blue Bombers finishing with almost double the Redblacks’ total yards output, 443-240. Winnipeg is second in the CFL with 34.5 points per game and fifth with 379.5 total yards per contest. Nicholes also leads the league with 10 passing touchdowns while Chris Streveler, who had 44 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries in Week 4’s win over Ottawa, is tied for second in the CFL with four rushing scores.
Winnipeg is 5-0 ATS in its last five home games.
Writer’s Prediction
