PGA Tour Money Rankings, Earnings, and List This Week – March 7-13, 2016

Not only did Adam Scott’s win at the WGC-Cadillac Championship keep him atop the PGA Tour’s money leaderboard, it also gave him a comfortable lead on the list for the foreseeable future.

But it’s not just Scott who benefited from the tournament in Doral this past week, as several other notable golfers made strides in the money rankings.  Let’s now run down this week’s edition of the top money-makers list below.

This week, the Valspar Championship tees off in Palm Harbor, where Jordan Spieth and plenty of other great competitors will have a great shot at improving their standings in this here list. Feel free to check out our complete preview as well as some expert picks for that compelling tournament at the newly-renovated Copperhead course right after this.

Updated PGA Tour Money Rankings

It certainly looks as if Aussie Adam Scott will be at the helm of the PGA Tour’s money leaderboard for an extended period of time considering that he’s already earned nearly twice as much as the next guy on the list. Back-to-back wins at PGA National and Doral will do that for you, alright.

If Scott’s win wasn’t evident enough that simply playing on the Tour will bag you a ton of cash, just take a look at the next 16 golfers behind him. All of them tackled the Blue Monster course this past week and got rewarded one way or another for their efforts. Bubba Watson, who lost to Scott in the playoff at Doral, made the most significant stride this time out by jumping from number 10 last week to this week’s runner-up slot.

The Valspar Championship is relatively lacking elite-level talent in its field, yet having Jordan Spieth for that event this week will certainly make for some interesting developments in next week’s standings. Can the World No. 1 finally break through the top 10 with a win at Copperhead?

And watch out: Dustin Johnson has crept back into the list with a solid T14 finish at Doral. We’re speculating that it won’t be long before he finally cracks into the top 20 where we expect him to be.
