The powerhouse Philly Eagles are currently 4-1 straight up and against the spread this season, while at home, the Seattle Seahawks are 3-2 SU and just 1-4 ATS. With no Sherman, things will only get worse as the season winds down for the Seahawks.
Over the past couple of weeks, the Philadelphia Eagles have been double digit favorites in every game as sometimes it is hard to Imagine a team who might have an extra 14-17 points to start the game still lose. Well, give the Eagles any type of spread and they will cover because they are one the most dominant team in the NFL.
The Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Chicago Bears as they were 17 point favorites and walked away with a 31-3 win at home. Heck even during the 4th quarter, video cameras picked up some of the Eagles players playing tic tac toe on the whiteboards on the sidelines.
That is how easy and comfortable this Eagles team is right now. Leading the charge for the Eagles was quarterback Carson Wentz who completed 23 of his 36 passes for 227 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Once again Wentz added on another 3 touchdown game to his record. The Eagles will be facing a tougher defense now as they head to Seattle. It will be interesting to see if this Eagles team can stay hot.
The Seattle Seahawks or aka Russell Wilson’s team have been pulling together a nice couple of wins lately. They bounced back from their heart breaking loss on Monday night against the Falcons with a 24-13 win against the San Francisco 49ers.
With the Los Angeles Rams continuing to win games left and right the Seahawks must be able to keep pace. If they want to keep pace, this game against the Eagles is huge. In their win against the 49ers, once again Wilson led the team as it is hard to imagine the Seahawks winning anything more than three games without him.
Quarterback Wilson completed 20 of his 34 passes for 228 passing yards along with two passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and one interception. As for the ground game, it has been missing for awhile now as that might be the deciding factor in the game against the Eagles.
Writer’s Prediction
I’m actually surprised by this line as I thought it would be way more. I would recommend betting high on this Eagles team as this line will change in the coming days. The Eagles will win this one by more than 7 points easy. Pick: Eagles (-7)
