The Philadelphia Eagles have Carson Wentz back to orchestrate their offense and after a successful 2018 debut, the quarterback will look to steer the reigning Super Bowl champs to their third win this season when they travel to Nashville to play the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are coming off an ugly game themselves and are keeping an eye on extending their win streak to three games. Still, Tennessee doesn’t have a quarterback on the roster (starter or backup) who is 100 percent healthy and that will continue to place a big question mark on their ability to win in any week to week matchup.
In the NFL Futures, the Eagles are -220 to win the NFC East, while the Titans are +350 to rule the AFC South.

Betting on the Philadelphia Eagles (2-1)
For the first time since last year, the Eagles started a quarterback not named Nick Foles last Sunday, when Carson Wentz made his much-awaited return to action after recovering from a devastating knee injury in 2017. In his first game back, Wentz threw for 255 yards and a touchdown on 25-of-37 completions in a 20-16 win at home over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. He wasn’t as steady as he hoped he would be, as evidenced by his lone interception, but Wentz should be better against Tennessee after shaking the rusts of a long layoff. The Eagles should also get a boost in the backfield in Nashville with head coach Doug Pederson stating that he’s expecting running backs Jay Ajayi and Darren Sproles to be back after both tailbacks missed the Colts game with respective injuries. Even without the two, though, Philly racked up 152 rushing yards and a score against Indianapolis.
The over is 3-0 in the Eagles’ last three games away from home.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (2-1)
The Titans served the Jacksonville Jaguars a dose of the latter’s own medicine last Sunday, beating Blake Bortles and company, 9-6, on the road. The Titans held a Jacksonville team that was coming off a 20-17 win over the New England Patriots in Week 2 down to only 232 total yards, including just 145 in the air. Tennessee’s improved defense is not entirely a big surprise given that the Titans’ new head coach, Mike Vrabel, is a defensive-oriented guy, but the Titans are going to need more of it, especially with quarterback Marcus Mariota seemingly not 100 percent yet. Mariota is reportedly still dealing with an elbow issue, which is also why Tennessee attempted just 21 passes against Jacksonville. If that’s going to be the case again, expect Tennessee’s rushing game to get a bulk of load. Running back Derrick Henry led the team against the Jags with 57 yards on 18 carries while Mariota had 51 yards on seven rushing attempts for Tennessee, which is 10th in the league with 122.0 rushing yards per game and fourth in scoring defense with only 16.7 points allowed per contest.
The Titans are 4-0 ATS in their last four games at Nissan Stadium.
Writer’s Prediction
