Betting on the Philadelphia Flyers

Welcome to the playoffs, Wayne Simmonds and Claude Giroux. After totaling just five points between them in the first five games, Simmonds and Giroux spearheaded the Flyers’ 5-2 Game 6 win with three points each. Simmonds, the team’s leading goalscorer in the regular season, bagged his first postseason hat-trick.

[sc:NHL240 ]The return to form of two of their most prolific point-scorers in the regular season should be a major boost for the Flyers, who had been one of the lowest playoff goalscorers before their Game 6 outburst.

Coming into Game 7 on the road, the Flyers will need a strong outing from goalie Steve Mason, who has played well since his return from injury. Mason has a 2 GAA and a .939 save percentage in his three postseason starts.

The over is 6-1 in the Flyers’ last seven road games. If you like the Flyers’ rejuvenated scoring to help them through this tough Game 7, complete Top Bet’s quick registration process and get into the action with a bet on the juicy +135 Flyers money line in this game.

Betting on the New York Rangers

Henrik Lundqvist, NY Rangers, NHL

The Rangers are -155 favorites to take Game 7 because of their dominating record over the Flyers in Madison Square Garden. New York is 10-1 in its last 11 home games over Philadelphia, with that one loss coming in Game 2.

However, it’ll need a much better game out of goalie Henrik Lundqvist to pull it off. Lundqvist was pulled for the first time this postseason after conceding four goals in Game 6. Prior to that though, Lundqvist had been having another stellar postseason, with a 1.81 GAA and a .926 save percentage.

Brad Richards and Martin St. Louis, who each have two goals and four assists in the series, have been the Rangers’ most consistent source of points, but their regular season leading goal scorer (26) Rick Nash has been shut out so far this postseason. A goal in Game 7 would be a perfect time for him to open his playoff campaign.

Writer’s Prediction

The Flyers fall in Madison Square Garden once again as the Rangers take Game 7 and advance to the next round.
