Portland Trail Blazers vs Golden State Warriors Predictions, Picks, Odds, and Betting Preview – NBA Playoffs Western Conference Finals Game 2 – May 16 2019

The Golden State Warriors got the early 1-0 series lead over the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2019 NBA Western Conference Finals. That said, Damian Lillard and company can’t be counted out that easily, especially with Durant out for the series. Will the Warriors double up on their Game 1 success and get to a 2-0 lead? Or will the Blazers tied the series up before the series shifts to their home? Going into the game, the sportsbook favors Golden State by 8-points, while series prices also like the Warriors, giving them -900 odds to move on to the Finals.

Betting on the Portland Trail Blazers (53-29, Regular Season)

Terry Stotts snapped at a reporter who was asking about the way – or the ineffectiveness – of which the Blazers defended Stephen Curry, but he just have to accept that Portland needs to do a better job of bottling up the two-time MVP. But it’s also the glaring lack of offense from Damian Lillard and McCollum, which made it harder for the Blazers to keep in step with Golden State in a 116-94 road loss in Game 1. Lillard continued to struggled on offense, scoring 19 points on an ugly 4-for-12 shooting from the field. In Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs, Lillard only had 13 points on a pathetic 3-for-17 shooting.  McCollum had 17 points and shot 36.8 percent from the field against the Warriors, which came after his 37-point performance against Denver.

The under is 3-1 in Portland’s last four road games.

Betting on the Golden State Warriors (57-25 Regular Season)

Don’t expect Kevin Durant to make an appearance in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. While there is yet to be an official word about Durant’s Game 2 status, it’s unlikely he’ll play, as he has not practiced as of this writing since injuring his calf in Game 5 of the second round of the playoffs against the Houston Rockets. But the Warriors don’t seem to be missing KD, especially not with the way Stephen Curry is making buckets of late. Curry scored 36 points in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, going 12-for-23 from the field and draining nine 3-pointers on 15 attempts. Curry is in the middle of another incredible stretch. He has averaged 31.0 points on 46.2 percent shooting and 39.2 percent shooting from behind the arc in the Warriors’ last four games. The Warriors’ defense also clicked against Portland, forcing the Blazers to commit 21 turnovers and scored 31 points off those errors.

The Warriors are 4-0 straight up (SU) and 2-2 against the spread (ATS) in their last four home games.

Writer’s Prediction

Golden State wins, 120-110.
