Betting on the Purdue Boilermakers (odds)

Record: 19-1 Overall/8-1 Conference

Purdue picked up another win over the weekend to extend its unbeaten run to six games. The Boilermakers defeated the Maryland Terrapins last Sunday at home, 58-55, thanks to Zach Edey coming up with another big game and Purdue’s defense. Edey had 24 points and 16 rebounds, while Purdue limited the Terps down to only 39.8 effective field goal percentage. Purdue. What makes hard Purdue to beat is its elite play on both ends of the floor. Purdue is No. 1 in the Big Ten in both adjusted offensive efficiency and adjusted defensive efficiency, as it is scoring 110.1 points per 100 possessions and allowing only 95.1 points per 100 possessions in conference play.

Purdue is 4-2 against the spread in its last six games overall.

Betting on the Michigan Wolverines (odds)

Record: 11-8 Overall/5-3 Conference

After suffering a 64-58 road loss to the Terrapins on Jan. 19th, the Wolverines got back up right away by defeating the Minnesota Golden Gophers at home in Ann Arbor last Sunday, 60-56. Hunter Dickinson paced the Wolverines with 23 points to go with nine rebounds in that contest. Dickinson is still one of the best players not only in the Big Ten but also in the nation, and he’s a big body that Michigan can rely upon in trying to stop Edey. Michigan’s defense is second in the Big Ten against two-pointers with teams making just 46.9 percent of their attempts inside the arc versus the Wolverines. Moreover, Michigan opponents shoot only 29.8 percent from behind the arc.

The Under is 2-0 in Michigan’s last two games overall.

Writer’s Prediction

Purdue wins, 73-69.
