The San Antonio Spurs (23-13) are currently 9-11 straight up and 7-13 against the spread when playing on the road, something ATS bettors will want to take note of going into this game against the Trail Blazers (19-18), as some expect the spread favoring the Spurs to be inflated. When playing at Moda Center, the Portland Trail Blazers are 8-10 SU and 5-15-1 ATS, so the concern about the Spurs being able to cover this Sunday may be abated here.

Betting on the San Antonio Spurs (26-13)
The San Antonio Spurs have health and wellness issues. The Spurs played midweek without five players, an injury/rehab roster that included forward Kawhi Leonard, guards Tony Parker, Danny Green, and key reserve Manu Ginobili.
Philly took advantage of this on Wednesday, even though the Spurs put up a good fight, depending upon Patty Mills, who led the team with a season-high 26 points. But in the end the Sixers made the plays they needed to down the stretch and beat San Antonio (112-106) for first time in 13 meetings, even if the victory comes with a definitive asterisks.
Before meeting the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, the Spurs must get through the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. But this betting prediction can go on without reference to that yet to be played game because San Antonio will remain down four key players. Kawhi Leonard is no longer listed on the injury report, but will need to take Friday against the Suns to work out the kinks and be back in form for the meeting against Portland.
Betting on the Portland TrailBlazers (19-18)
Writer’s Prediction:
With Kawhi Leonard (barring aggravation of the injury on Friday) the Spurs will take the win, extending their SU record on the road to 10-11, but without the other four key players in the lineup they won’t likely improve upon their ATS record on the road, extending that in the other direction to 7-14. Pick: San Antonio Spurs to win, no cover.
