The Mariners are looking to stop their losing skid, which has reached three games after a 4-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. On the mound for the Mariners this Tuesday is Marco Gonzales, who is 3-7 with a 3.41 ERA and 1.31 WHIP this season, thus far. Gonzales is also 2-3 with a 3.23 ERA and .224 OBA in 7 home starts. He had his stuff going for him in his last start, but Seattle did not provide him with the offense he needed, as the Mariners fell to the Minnesota Twins on June 15 at home, 5-0. In that game, Gonzales tossed 6.2 innings of 1-run ball. Rookie JulioRodriguez will look to make things happen at the plate and on the basepaths, as he is batting .257 with 4 stolen bases in 19 games played this month.

Things have been dreadful for the A’s this season, but at least they are coming off a 4-0 win over the Kansas City Royals last Sunday at home. James Kaprielian will look to help Oakland sustain whatever momentum it got from that victory, as he steps on the mound this Tuesday. Kaprielian is just 0-4 with a 6.31 ERA and 1.50 WHIP this month, but he may be catching Seattle at just the right time, as the Mariners have not scored a run in their last couple of outings. SeanMurphy and Seth Brown enter this contest carrying bats that have combined for 7 homers this June.
