The Cowboys may have postseason hopes now after ending an ugly three-game losing streak in Week 15. The remaining schedule doesn’t quite favor them however, as they end the season against the Eagles, and meet the Seahawks here in Week 16. The Cowboys have covered just once in their most recent six games against squads with winning records and is 1-6 against the spread in its previous seven games at home against opponents with road records above .500. Still, Dallas is favored by more than a field goal here and the Seahawks just aren’t what they used to be.

Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (8-6)
The Seattle Seahawks officially look like they are out of the NFC West division title running. Seattle recently lost to the Rams at home, 42-7 in the worst lost of the season for Seattle. Quarterback Russell Wilson passed for 142 of Seattle’s 149 yards of total offense last week. Wilson also threw the teams only touchdown of the game to Luke Wilson.
The Seahawks offense has played like they are on a playground all season long, with Wilson stringing together plays that somehow work. The Rams fully exposed the Seahawks in the loss. It is going to be hard to expect the Seahawk offense to respond after last weeks demoralizing loss.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Seahawks are allowing 21 points per game this season. Good enough for 21st in the NFL this season. Seattle allowed 42 points last week. The Seahawks played solid on the defensive side of the ball. They allowed 352 yards of offense last week against the Rams. In this matchup, Seattle will need to be prepared for a heavy dose of the run game. Cowboys running back Zeke Elliot is back from suspension and practicing this week.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (8-6)
The Dallas Cowboys have relied heavily on the shoulders of Dak Prescott during Zeke’s absence. Last week Prescott willed his team to a tough road win against the Raiders, 20-17. Prescott wasn’t good in last weeks road win. He passed for 217 yards and had two interceptions. Had the defense not stepped up and forced a late game fumble, the Cowboys would not be in the playoff conversation.
Look for Prescott to perform better with Elliot back in the lineup. His running ability does wonders for the young quarterback. Zeke Elliot is going to be the factor in this game. If is has stayed conditioned during his suspension, expect him to be huge in this one. On the defensive side of the ball, the Cowboys have looked better recently, than in weeks past. The Dallas defense limited the Raiders to under 300 total yards in last weeks win.
Look for the Cowboys defense to be able to limit the one dimensional Seattle offense to 300 total yards or less in this one.
Writer’s Prediction
Seattle better come prepared. The Cowboys fans are going to be overly excited in this matchup. Russell Wilson is going to try and do way too much for Seattle which will hurt them in this game. Take the Cowboys to handle business at home in this game. Pick: Dallas Cowboys (-5.0)
