The good news for the Seahawks is that it appears that quarterback Russell Wilson is going to play in Week 10 against the Packers. Nothing is 100% sure as of this writing, but Adam Schefter of ESPN has already reported that Wilson has been medically cleared to play this coming Sunday. The Seahawks are coming off a bye in Week 9, and prior to that, they scored a 31-7 home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with Geno Smith under center to snap a three-game losing skid. There’s also a chance that running back Chris Carson will make his return to action after getting activated off the injury list. At least one among Wilson and Carson getting a green light to play on Sunday will be a big boost to the Seahawks, who are averaging 22.6 points per game.
The Seahawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games.
Betting on the Green Bay Packers (-4)
Regular Season Record: 7-2
Remove Aaron Rodgers from the Packers and you’d get results like the team had in Week 9, when they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on the road, 13-7. With Rodgers sidelined, the Packers gave rookie quarterback Jordan Love the starting duties against the Chiefs and their offense understandably stagnated,. That was very much evidenced by the fact that Green Bay went 2/12 on third downs. However, Rodgers has a shot of returning to action this week, and a lot of times, his presence is all a Packers need to know to feel confident in the Packers. More than that, there also seems to be a chance for star tackle David Bakhtiari to make his season debut this week. If Rodgers returns, expect Green Bay to have a field day slicing through the Seahawks’ pass defense that is just 28th in the league.
The Packers are 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games.
