German, meanwhile, is still searching for his first win of the season, though, he collected a quality start and a no-decision in his last trip to the mound, surrendering three earned runs on five hits with nine strikeouts in six innings of a 4-3 road win over the Mets last Saturday. The Yankees are 4-1 in their last five home games against Tampa Bay.
Hitting:
- Gary Sanchez is 4-for-10 with three homers against Snell.
- Matt Duffy is 34-for-115 (.296) in road games this season.

Eovaldi pitches against his former team this coming Friday night, so he should be familiar in his surroundings in this game. Eovaldi is 10-4 with a 3.73 ERA in 24 career appearances (23 starts) at Yankee Stadium. The same can’t be said with Yankees starter and right-handed pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga, who is set to make his majors debut on Friday. Loaisiga went 3-1 with a 4.32 ERA in his last six starts at Double-A.

- The Yankees have a collective .333 batting average against Eovaldi.
- Matt Duffy is hitting .369 against righties this season as of this writing.
