There’s some serious money to be made if the Tennessee Volunteers can pull this off. The Crimson Tide dominate the recent rivalry with the Volunteers, winning the last 10 meetings outright and going 7-3 against the spread (ATS). But Alabama is giving up a lot of points for this Week 8 game against the Volunteers in Tuscaloosa, perhaps by too high of a margin. With a 3-3 record, it is not out of this world to think that Tennessee can keep this game closer than their +35.5 spread suggests. You’re going to want to register to bet on this one ATS fans.

Betting on the Tennessee Volunteers 3-3 (+35.5)
Tennessee started the season off strong, going three of four at the onset. But now the Volunteers find themselves sitting with a 3-3 record here in Week 8 with the playoffs fast approaching.
Their Week 7 game against the Gamecocks started like their season, with a 9-3 lead deep into the third, but then gave up a score and missed opportunities with three straight incompletions on the 2-yard line. Tennessee tallied just 253 yards of total offense and held South Carolina to 323.
The Volunteers offensive struggles this season are at least balanced by their defense so they do have a glimmer of hope if their running game can step up this Saturday.
Betting on the Alabama Crimson Tide 7-0 (-35.5)
The Crimson Tide has extended their SEC winning streak to a total of 21 games, with a 41-9 victory over Arkansas in Week 7. Alabama took a 7-0 lead within seconds of the game start, thanks to a lightening quick 75-yard TD by Damien Harris. They proceeded to bump that lead up to 24-0 to enter the half and carried a 41-3 edge into the midpoint of the fourth quarter where they gave up an inconsequential (for non-bettors) TD to the Razorbacks with three minutes left, missing out against the spread (ATS) as 36-point favorites. When the smoke cleared, Alabama had outgained the Arkansas 496-227 and outrushed them 308-27.
The Alabama Crimson Tide has officially outgained and outrushed every single opponent of the 2017 season, and by very significant margins.
Writer’s Prediction
Alabama is 1-3 ATS at home this season, because they’ve been favored by such a high margin. Regardless, still there’s little justification to take the points here. Tennessee has major QB problems, and their defense is giving up 240 yards per game on the ground. Smart money here wagers on the Crimson Tide. Pick: Alabama (-35.5)
