Betting on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (14-14, 8-8 AAC)

Tulsa got blown out when it hosted SMU last month, 76-53, but we can expect a better fight from the Golden Hurricane in this rematch.
They have some momentum on their side thanks a two-straight home wins over South Florida and East Carolina. Tulsa is averaging 78.0 points in that brief span, and received a 23-point outing from its leading scorer Junior Etou (12.8 PPG) in the latter game.
However, the Golden Hurricane are going to need a lot more from Etou or anybody else against a Mustangs defense that allows just 59.0 points, the third-best scoring defense in the country. Etou is the only Tulsa player scoring in double figures this season, with the pair of Jaleel Wheeler (9.3) and Sterling Taplin (9.2) right behind him.
Betting on the SMU Mustangs (25-4, 15-1 AAC)
Point Spread: -17
No. 14 SMU is sure to make it to the Big Dance, but it still has some unfinished business to take care of. The Mustangs, who are currently sitting atop of the AAC, need to win here to at least secure a share of the conference title.
That should be very doable against Tulane, which doesn’t have the necessary weapons or enough talent to compete with SMU on both ends of the court. Look to Semi Ojeleye (18.2 PPG) and Shake Milton (13.4 PPG) to continue making an impact. Both lead the Mustangs in scoring while the latter carries a team-high 4.3 assists per game.
The Mustangs have won 11-straight games and are 10-1-1 ATS in their previous 11 contests overall.
