UCLA Bruins vs USC Trojans Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – November 18, 2017

It wasn’t that long ago that the UCLA Bruins beat the USC Trojans three games straight in the annual battle for the Victory Bell. But the Trojans have won the last two emphatically, covering the spread in both instances. Can UCLA get back on track and take back their former edge in the rivalry?

On the road, the Bruins are 0-5 straight up and against the spread (ATS) this season while the Trojans are 6-0 straight up and 2-4 ATS at home. Register to bet and wager with your pick.

Betting on the UCLA Bruins 5-5 (+16)

UCLA snapped a two-game losing streak with a 44-37 win over Arizona State in Week 11.

On the game, the Bruins racked up an impressive 573 yards, while QB Josh Rosen threw for 381 yards and one TD, and ran for another touchdown.

With a 5-5 overall record, UCLA needs one win in their final two games to become bowl-eligible.

Betting on the USC Trojans 9-2 (-16)

USC is currently enjoying a three-game winning streak, beating Colorado in Week 11 by a total of 38-24.

On the game, the Trojans compiled offensive 522 yards, while QB Sam Darnold threw for 329 yards and two TDs while running back Ron Jones ran for 142 yards and one touchdown. The USC Trojans could have covered if their punt was not blocked (which also resulted in a touchdown for the opponent) and missed both a field goal and extra point.

With a record of 7-1 in the conference, USC has already clinched a spot in the Pac-12 championship game, but still grasps on to hopes of making the College Football Playoff.

Writer’s Prediction

The USC Trojans have won the last two Victory Bell games, with a scoreline of 36-14 and 40-21 respectively. I can’t see Saturday’s game result going much differently. Pick: Smart money here takes the Trojans (-16)
