UEFA EURO 2016 Group C – Poland Team Predictions, Odds and Preview

Poland – No. 27 in FIFA World Rankings

Team Strengths:

Don’t get too carried away by the fact that Poland led all nations with 33 goals in qualifying; almost half of those came in two games against minnows Gibraltar. However, Robert Lewandowski (the leading scorer in qualifying with 13 goals) is a true world-class star. He’s as clinical as they come, and the likes of Arkadiusz Milik and Jakub Blaszczykowski are very capable of supplying decent service for the star striker.

Lewa is a +1,000 contender to win the Golden Boot, and his goals can take Poland a long way. The Poles finished second to Germany in their qualifying group, are priced at +105 to do so again in Group C.

Team Weaknesses:

Poland’s defense is nothing to write home about. They have a trio of decent goalkeeping options, but the same cannot be said about their actual defenders. Aside from right-back Lukasz Piszczek, none of their defenders has experience playing in the very top level of club competition.

However, it’d take a pretty monumental collapse from the Poland defense in order for the team to crash out at the group stage. They’re priced at -300 to move on the round of 16.
