[sc:NBAArticles ]How to Watch the NBA Slam Dunk Contest
On TV
[sc:NBA240banner ]The easiest and most efficient way to watch the Sprite Slam Dunk Challenge is through your television screen. All the major 2015 NBA All-Star events will be shown on the cable channel TNT. The channel is available in approximately 85.94 percent of households with at least one television in the United States. So unless you’re part of the 14.06 percent that don’t have TNT, there’s no excuse to miss the exciting slam-dunking action ahead.
The slam dunk contest is part of the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night show, which also includes the shooting and skills challenges, and the three-point contest. Coverage begins at 8:00 PM ET.
Aside from the Saturday night show, TNT will also feature the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday and the All-Star Game to close the weekend off on Sunday night.
Online/Mobile Streaming
No TV? No cable? No problem. The NBA League Pass has you covered with complete coverage of the 2015 All-Star Weekend. Using the app, you can stream live NBA action and the All-Star showcase using any device such as phones, tablets, laptops or even gaming consoles. All you need is a high-speed broadband connection to make your hoops viewing pleasurable.
The only hit to the NBA League Pass is the $99.99 price attached to it, which may lead others to seek more cost-effective ways of watching their favorite basketball stars. That said, League Pass is a fantastic product: you can watch almost any game from around the league on a given night, and even several at once. You could do worse than join mid-season.
Illegal Streaming
If you’re an NBA-only fan, then paying for cable just to catch basketball games or even throwing a hundred bucks for a premium app may not be viable. You can resort to a more “cost-efficient” way of catching the Slam Dunk Challenge. All you need are patience and excellent web browsing skills.
The internet hosts plenty of sites offering free, but illegal streams for those who can find them. You can find anything from live games to pre-/post-game shows and even the All-Star events.
Using these illegal streams doesn’t come without any hitches though. You’ll have to get through a ton of bothersome ads that may pop out at the most inopportune times. If you’re unlucky, then you may even pick up some unwanted adware, spyware or malware.
Don’t miss out on any of the best NBA action coming your way. Better yet, join in on the fun by creating a betting account and backing your favorite teams.
