Will the Golden State Warriors Win 73 plus games? January 2016 Update

The Golden State Warriors will hit the half-way point of their season in January and thus far, they only have two losses! The team started the new year with a record of 30-2. Their excellent run will face a few challenges this month that could hurt our current prop bet of:

Will they win 73 games or more this season? Or will they win 72 or less?

If they can surpass the 72 mark, they’ll beat the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls record of 72 wins. We think the record can be beaten. Do you agree? Take advantage of Top Bet’s all new and exclusive Golden State Warriors prop now!

Here’s Golden State’s biggest January threats

Monday January 11, 2016 – vs Miami Heat

Dwayne Wade 250x250

The Miami Heat are in first place in their division to start 2016. The team went 9-7 in December but did celebrate back-to-back wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers. Two teams that will likely be in the running for the title well into the postseason. The Heat also entered the month as a 5-6 road team. While their record at home is very strong, Miami has not built themselves into a road warrior just yet.

These two also met on November 25th in Miami and Golden State wiped the floor with the home squad 114-97. We like the Heat, but in this one it’s hard to go against the defending NBA champions – the Golden State Warriors.

Writer’s Prediction: Miami loses on the road 111-98.

Monday January 18, 2016 – vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Lebron 250x250

What can’t you say about Lebron and the Cavaliers that hasn’t been said before? The man is a living legend. Is he the next MJ or better? Well that remains to be seen. He’s an instant first-ballot hall of famer though and he’s on an absolute mission this season. He came close last year in the final with his Cavs of taking down the mighty Warriors, but it was not to be. This season, with a healthy squad behind him, Cleveland is back in a big way. The team entered the new year with a 21-9 record and on an 8-2 run in their final ten games of 2015.

The last time these two met was on Christmas Day in California. The Warriors took out Cleveland 89-83 even though LBJ put up 25 and Kevin Love pulled down 18 boards. This one will be anybody’s game.

Writer’s Prediction: Cleveland wins a nail biter 101-99.

Monday January 25, 2016 – vs San Antonio Spurs

Tim Duncan 250x250

The San Antonio Spurs entered the year as one of the most hyped teams around. After the addition of LaMarcus Aldridge in the off-season from Portland, the team was ranked as the most likely contender to knock off the Warriors in the final for 2016 – so this game would be a great start to that quest.

The Spurs entered the month of January on a 14-2 tear in the month of December. Somehow, they’ve been doing it without leading the stat pack as well. San Antonio has zero players in the top 5 for any of the main statistical categories. Kawhi Leonard leads the team with 20.9 PPG. Aldridge leads the way with 8.9 boards per night and Tony Parker is putting up 5.2 assists per night. All average numbers but they still seem to be getting the job done.

Writer’s Prediction: 99-95 San Antonio with the win.
