WrestleMania is one of the only U.S. facing events taking place amidst the chaos, and it’s exactly what we need right now. Funny that it’s the WWE that we turn to for a sense of normalcy. But the move to keep the event running will be appreciated for years, and we give kudos to Vince McMahon for having the cojones to keep us all entertained during the sports (and entertainment) drought. TopBet has responded in kind by offering industry leading odds on the event, and today we’re weighing in with match predictions to boot.

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (+200) vs Drew McIntyre (-260)
Eight-time champion Brock Lesnar is coming into the event with a 5-4 WrestleMania record, but with shorter odds (+200) than his opponent Drew McIntyre (-260). On paper, the events leading up to this WWE Championship match also favor McIntyre, who is rising in the ranks after flaming out of the WWE on his first go-around. But there is also speculation that due to travel restrictions Lesnar may not be able to find a flight to the WWE Training Facility in Orlando where the event is being held, which so far has not phased WWE higher-ups, meaning that McIntyre has most likely been tapped to take the WWE Championship even if it’s against a stand-in. Universal Championship
Goldberg (+500) vs Roman Reigns (-800)
To many, this match is more anticipated than the WWE Championship. While many think it’s time for Goldberg to hang up his boots he is coming off of a clean win against The Fiend at Super ShowDown to become the new WWE Universal Champion. He followed that up to issue a title defense challenge to any taker, which was gobbled up by the hungry Roman Reigns. The odds (+500) of Goldberg holding on to the Universal Championship this WrestleMania are slim. Rumors have been swirling that the organization has planned another big coronation for Reigns, who is expected to play an integral role in WWE programming through the summer months. View our complete breakdown for the Universal Championship match here, or bet with (or against) the prediction and move on to the next.
NXT Women’s Championship
Rhea Ripley (-180) vs Charlotte Flair (+150)
The sportsbook is tighter on the NXT Women’s Championship, favoring Rhea Ripley by just -180. Ripley will have her hands full however, as Charlotte Flair (aka Ms. WrestleMania) is a showstopper at the main event each and every year. Flair has a 58.54% win record in WWE matches and 48.65% win record at NXT matches, with a 60.42% win record at Pay-Per-View events. Still, many point to a Ripley win based on the fact that the WWE wants to push the NXT brand from “development” to a full fledged household name, especially in a time where a diverse market portfolio (in sports and entertainment) is critical to success. This one seems like a business decision more than any other.
Featured Singles Match
John Cena (+240) vs “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt (-320)
With John Cena focused on Hollywood the odds on The Fiend winning look good. But Cena is Cena, and if anything upsets the odds at the sportsbook for WrestleMania 36 it will be this match. Bray Wyatt did suffer a devastating loss of the Universal Championship to Goldberg in Saudi Arabia, and Wyatt is also looking for revenge against his WrestleMania 36 opponent over a clean loss to Cena at WrestleMania 30. He is also due to rise in the ranks, with Cena potentially being the one to give that push with a clean loss of his own. Still, Cena’s stock in Hollywood is closely tied to this match. It will be a well fought and mutually respectful bout that still manages to increase The Fiend’s market value in the WWE, but in the end John Cena should walk away victorious.
Prediction: John Cena wins another.
Rob Gronkowski Hijinks
This is the other more highly most anticipated inclusion to WrestleMania 36 and a big reason why Vegas sportsbooks have jumped on the event to carry it though until the return of…something. New England Patriots alum Rob Gronkowski will certainly up the entertainment ante at WrestleMania, so much so that TopBet has offered odds on his involvement beyond hosting duties. These include:
Will Rob Gronkowski wrestle/fight anyone at Wrestlemania 36?
(YES -800 / NO +500)
Who Will Rob Gronkowski wrestle/fight if he does enter the ring?
- Cesaro (+200)
- Robert Roode (+250)
- Mojo Rawley (+400)
- Dolph Ziggler (+450)
- Sheamus (+500)
- Jinder Mahal (+550)
- Riddick Moss (+600)
- King Corbin (+700)
Prediction:
Yes, Gronk will absolutely step into the ring to mix it up (-800) but the sportsbook missed the boat on who his interference (or after match) victim will be – Goldberg. Here’s why.
